Islamabad: The federal cabinet on Tuesday approved funding of Rs41 billion to the Interior Ministry to possibly halt the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march, ARY News reported.
The cabinet approved the summary in a session chaired by the Prime Minister on Tuesday. Cabinter has issued the fund to halt the possible PTI-long march toward the federal cabinet.
Sources said the cabinet condemned the arrest warrant against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. Anti-corruption department got the arrest warrant over the wrong record, they added.
The cabinet also discussed the investigation of the audio leaks from the PM house and the lost cypher from the PM house record.
Senior civil judge Rawalpindi on Tuesday returned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah’s plea against the release of his arrest warrant with an objection.
Earlier, a Punjab Anti-corruption Establishment (ACE) team tasked with arresting Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah returned empty-handed due to the ‘non-cooperation’ from Islamabad.
However, due to non-compliance with the arrest warrant, the anti-corruption team returned empty-handed. The arrival of the anti-corruption team was also not mentioned in the register.

The anti-corruption team said that they reached the Secretariat police station for compliance with the court orders, but they failed.
On the other hand, the SHO said that the warrant has been received and updates will be shared later.
