Bilawal terms presidential system undemocratic, harmful for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Opposing the presidential system, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari here on Friday termed the system undemocratic and harmful for  Pakistan, ARY News.

Talking to journalists, Bilawal warned of resistance if someone tried to impose the presidential system in the country. He said that they would foil every conspiracy against democracy and declared parliamentary system imperative for resolution of the country’s  problems.

Criticizing National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the PPP chairman said that the institution was constituted for political engineering by the former president Pervez Musharraf.

He demanded of impartial and across the board accountability in the country. He said that it would be difficult to bring a new accountability system right now and offered support to the government for the betterment of the current system.

The PPP chairman said that the current government had no interest in the country, parliament and the economy.

Earlier, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, on April 25, had warned attempt to introduce presidential form of the government in Pakistan would lead to severe consequences.

Speaking to the news men outside the Parliament House, the PPP leader had said economic condition of the country is visible to everyone, people are facing hardships due to high inflation rate, PTI government was sacking labourers, he had contented.

Bilawal had warned, if there is no relief for the people in the budget, they would come out on the streets themselves.
