While, Imran Khan posted on Twitter: “We have always opposed use of torture and custodial deaths and we condemn the same on MQM’s Aftab Ahmed.”

MQM had on Tuesday claimed that their activist died in the custody of Rangers.
MQM leader Khwaja Izharul Hasan had expressed concern over the ‘mysterious death’ of Aftab Ahmed in detention and demanded immediate investigation into the matter.
The MQM leader had also demanded formation of a medical board to probe the death.
MQM’s Wasay Jalil had also tweeted about death of their activist, claiming he died during ‘Ranger’s custody’.
On the other hand, a spokesperson for Pakistan Rangers Sindh had said in a statement early on Tuesday morning that Ahmed complained of chest pain, after which he was immediately shifted to hospital.
The suspect died of heart failure at the hospital, it read.
Ahmed was detained by law enforcers during a raid near MQM headquarters Nine Zero on Sunday evening. He was presented before a judge of the anti-terrorism court along seven other suspects.
Rangers had informed the ATC judge about 90-day detention of seven suspects, including Aftab Ahmed, for interrogation.
Scores of workers and leaders from the MQM had offered funeral prayers of Aftab Ahmed at Numaish roundabout of the city in on Tuesday evening.
