KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has endorsed the demand from the Sindh government for including Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
According to a statement issued by the party, Bilawal said the Sindh government’s demand was genuine and the federal government should accept it without any further arguments so that the commercial hub of the country could also take benefit from the vital initiative.
Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Shah earlier apprised the PPP supremo that he has put forward demand before the federal government for including the long-pending KCR in the CPEC to meeting the over-growing public transport needs of the city.
Murad Shah also congratulated the PPP chairman on the success of week-long celebrations of 49th Foundation Day of the party held in Bilawal House, Lahore.
The CM also briefed about the on-going development schemes and overall law and order situation in the province, especially in its capital.
The PPP chairman also lauded the Sindh government and law enforcing agencies for improving law and order situation to a great extent and stressed that all the development schemes should be completed in time without any delay.
