According to a spokesperson for Pakistan Rangers Sindh, paramilitary personnel conducted intelligence-based raids in Orangi Town and Nazimabad apprehending three ‘terrorists’. The suspects were said to be affiliated with different banned organizations. Rangers also seized weapons from them.
On Saturday night, a man was allegedly killed during encounter with police in Orangi’s Mominabad neighborhood, while another of his accomplice fled.
When signaled to stop for checking, the suspects fired shots at the law enforcers and one of them was gunned down in retaliation.
Police said the deceased named Naseeb was affiliated with an outlawed group.
In Azizabad, police arrested an injured suspect during a raid and seized liquor bottles and a motorbike from him.
