Awami Tehreek to stage protest sit-in in Lahore today

Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has made an appeal to the masses to take to the street and protest against the incident which claimed the lives of 14 people, mostly his party workers, in clashes with Punjab Police.

“The party’s movement being started on 20th August is for seeking Qasas of those killed on that fateful day,” Qadri said in his message.

He also said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif plundered the national wealth thinking it was his own. “We will recover each penny from him,” the PAT chairman added.

Meanwhile, Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed-led Pakistan Awami League (AML) will also be holding a public meeting in Faisalabad today.
