German carmaker Audi AG has introduced the all-new A3 sedan in Pakistan claiming it will provide a premium level experience and an appetite for the luxury brand in the country.
Audi is currently represented in Pakistan through an authorized importer but has expressed an interest to set up a plant in Karachi.
The A3 Sedan employs Turbocharged fuel stratified injection (TFSI) which combines the advantages of FSI – efficiency and dynamism – with a turbocharger, which ensures even better power delivery.
The 1.4 TFSI engine with 103 kW is equipped with the intelligent Audi cylinder on demand technology, which during relaxed driving automatically deactivates two cylinders when full engine is not required . This results in a significantly more efficient engine and reduction in carbon emissions.
The 1.8 TFSI engine with 132 kW works with the Audi valvelift system and intelligent thermal management, which generates more torque at low engine speed by switching between two exhaust cam contours.
This allows the engine reacts more quickly and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
The Audi valvelift system also helps you to save fuel and reduce carbon emissions. The 1.8 TFSI (132 kW) also used indirect injection, which makes the part load range even more efficient.
The turbochargers of both engines have an electric waste gate actuator which regulates the charging pressure quickly.
The exhaust manifold has been integrated in the water-cooled cylinder head, shortening the engine warm-up period and reducing the exhaust gas temperature.
All these measures help to reduce consumption, particularly with a sporty driving style. All the TFSI engines on this page already meet the stringent requirements of the EU6 emission standard.
The exterior of the A3 sheds a whole new light on the term ‘Sedan’ with dynamic contours, and the single frame that exudes power perfectly integrated in the three-dimensional body line.
The interior lays emphasis on class with elegant seats optionally available in Milano leather. The MMI navigation provides increased functionality supported by Audi connect including a high-resolution, pop-up colour display and a large screen size of up to 7 inches.
