ISLAMABAD: Special Advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said those who looted the national exchequer and robbed the masses of their rights, should be tired under the Article 6 related to high treason.
Speaking to media on Thursday, the PM’s adviser remarked that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) “pushed the country into the swamp of debts by mercilessly looting the national kitty and poor public.”
In an answer to a question, she said Prime Minister Khan is determined to build Pakistan on the principles of the Median State. “He is the hero of the nation,” she added.
Premier Khan did not get his political party through inheritance, his political struggle “spans over 22 years and the PPP can not digest his popularity,” Awan said.
Two days earlier, reacting over PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s criticism on the premier, Awan said this is what happens when people take admission in Oxford University through illegal means.
Taking a jibe at PM Imran Khan, Bilawal had mocked him, saying: “Our Prime Minister thinks that Germany & Japan share a border. How embarrassing, this is what happens when you [University of Oxford] let people in just because they can play cricket.”
