Funeral prayer of Ali Jawad was offered at Peshawer Garrison and his body was taken to his home town Quetta where he was buried with full military honour.
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General Sher Afgan , Federal Minister for States and Frontiner Regions Lt. Gen. Abdul Qadir Baloch, provincial ministers and members provincial assembly attended the funeral prayer.
Major Ali Jawad Changezi could not recuperate after critical injuries during the Afghan firing at the border, said sources. He was under treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Peshawar.
Condolence prayers were also offered for the martyred official in the National Assembly session today.
According to ISPR, Afghan Security forces resorted to unprovoked firing on Pakistani side at Torkham Gate. A Pakistani soldier was injured due to Afghan firing. Pakistani security forces responded to Afghan firing effectively.
It may be mentioned that Torkham is the most frequented crossing point at Pak-Afgn Border and recently even most of the terrorists have been found using this gate for entry.
In order to check movement of terrorists through Torkham, Pakistan is constructing a gate on own side of the border as a necessity to check unwanted and illegal movement, said the ISPR.
