Indian politician and former Bollywood actress Hema Malini is being severely trolled in India for posing with some peasant women from her constituency to start her election campaign.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP who was also received flak for predicting doom for India if “Modi isn’t re-elected” shared pictures of herself at a wheat farm on Twitter.
“Began my Lok Sabha campaign today with the Govardhan Kshetra where I had the opportunity to interact with women working in the fields. A few fotos for u of my first day of campaign,” the BJP leader tweeted.
The “Sholay” actress can be seen in the company of some peasant woman and was herself holding a hay bale and sickle in the photos.
