Bollywood diva and star wife Anushka Sharma is all set to make her debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year.
According to the details, the ‘NH10’ star will attend the festival for the very first time later this month, to take part in an event, honouring the women in cinema. She will be joined by Oscar-winning Hollywood star Kate Winslet.

The attendance of the Bollywood celebrity was confirmed by the French ambassador to India, Emmanuel Lenain, who met Sharma and her husband, star cricketer Virat Kohli ahead of the fest.
“A pleasure meeting @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma! I wished Virat & #TeamIndia all the best for the upcoming tournaments, and discussed Anushka’s trip to #CannesFilmFestival,” Lenain wrote on the micro-blogging site along with a picture.
The 76th edition of the annual film festival is scheduled to take place from May 16 to 27, while Indian films ‘Kennedy’ and ‘Agra’ will be screened this year.
Previously, Bollywood divas including Sharmila Tagore, Aishwarya Rai, Vidya Balan and Deepika Padukone have served as the jury members of the French festival, while actors like Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Pooja Hegde, Hina Khan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Aditi Rao Hydari have also attended the festival.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka Sharma will be next seen in the Netflix title ‘Chakda Xpress’ since her last outing in ‘Zero’ in 2018. The Prosit Roy directorial, biographical drama follows the tale of Indian cricketer, Jhulan Goswami.
