The foreign secretary was briefing the Senate Standing Committee on defence and foreign affairs in Islamabad on Monday.
“Angoor Adda has not been handed over to Afghanistan,however, Pakistan’s army has constructed a gate for the Kabul government in the Afghan area as a gift,” Chaudhry said.
According to state radio, the foreign secretary said that Pakistan wants durable peace in Afghanistan and urged for seeking a peaceful solution to the Afghan issue.
Pakistan foreign secretary said Pakistan hosted millions of Afghan refugees for decades despite difficulties. He said terrorists from Afghanistan take shelter in the camps of the Afghan refugees.
He said Pakistan will not allow its soil to be used against any other country.
He said terrorism is the major issue for Pakistan and more than 5000 Pakistani soldiers have sacrificed their lives in the war on terror so far.
