Read what US ambassador had to say when he visited Lahore Fort

LAHORE: United States’ ambassador to Pakistan Paul Jones and his wife on Wednesday visited historical buildings of Lahore, ARY News reported.

Consul General of the United States in Lahore, Colleen Crenwelge, also accompanied the ambassador.

The envoy visited Huzoori Bagh and different sections of the Lahore Fort and admired the Mughal-era architecture that attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists from Pakistan and abroad every year.

 

Talking to media at this occasion, Mr Jones said that it was the first time he was ever witnessing the cultural heritage of Lahore and he was pleased to walk in the gardens built centuries ago by expert craftsmen.

He urged the people of the United States to visit Pakistan to enjoy the cultural and tourism activities here.

Mr Jones said that Pakistan and the United States were working together to defeat terrorism, whereas the two countries also enjoyed trade relationships.

“We are working day and night to strengthen the bilateral relationships between the two countries”, he said.
