KARACHI: Sindh’s Information Minister, Sherjeel Inam Memon said on Monday that amendment in Sindh Local Government Ordinance-2013 will benefit people of the province and if Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has any concern over it and wants to contact court, they can, ARY News reported.
Talking about MQM’s rally against the amendment in the LG ordinance, Sherjeel Memon said that PPP will not allow any kind of rigging that was conducted in the past.
He claimed that PPP was the first to raise the voice for Local Government elections and agreed to conduct elections on January 18, although the law and order situation in the province isn’t good.
“Amended Sindh local Government 2013 ordinance was passed with majority votes and declaring it illegal and unconstitutional is just like insulting Sindh Assembly and its members”, said Information Minister.
