Aman Foundation organizes walk to mark World Mental Health Day

“World Mental Health Day” is celebrated to build awareness on the importance of mental health.

Member Sindh Provincial Assembly, Mr. Shafi Muhammad Jamot, also participated in the walk and endorsed Mashal, the mental health initiative of the Aman Health. On the occasion of the ceremony, Jamot, said: “ I applaud Aman Health’s mental health initiative, Mashal, which is doing a great service in building awareness for Mental Health. I am delighted to be a part of Mashal’s Mental Health Walk on the occasion of World Mental Health Day. Mashal has highlighted mental health as a key priority area for our society’s well-being and they deserve great recognition for this unique service”.

Health Care Services Altaf Hussain Musani also commented: “The theme of this year’s Mental Health Day is “Dignity in Mental Health”. Aman Foundation’s vision is transforming lives, and championing dignity and choice for the underserved in health and education. The importance of mental health in Karachi and Pakistan cannot be highlighted enough. Mashal has been treating mental health patients free of cost in the most underserved communities of Karachi. I laud the efforts of Dr. Saadia Quraishy, CEO of Aman Health and the Mashal team.”

The Mental Health awareness building walk was led by MASHAL team. It began from Mashal’s mental health clinic situated at Moro hall, Ibrahim Hyderi, and ended at the PAF Base at Ibrahim Hyderi.
