It happened so when the ‘Golmaal’ star was congratulated in his recent appearance at ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, saying: “RRR ke Naatu Naatu gaane ko Oscar mila. Ajay sir ka usme ek bada hi khoobsurat cameo tha. Aapne kabhi socha tha is film mein main hounga aur usko Oscar milega, (Congratulations, RRR song Naatu Naatu won an Oscar. Ajay sir had a beautiful cameo in the film. Did you ever think that the film that you will work in, will win an Oscar one day)?”

Maintaining his usual straight face, Devgn replied, “RRR ko Oscar jo mila hai wo meri wajah se mila hai, (The Oscar that RRR has won is because of me).”

Agar maine us gaane mein naach dia hota to kya hota, (What if I had danced in the song),” he joked, leaving everyone in splits.

When asked further if he ever feels like doing the iconic hook step in his room, Devgn replied, “To wo Oscar wapis le jaate, (then they would have taken the Oscar back).”

It is pertinent to mention here that the Telugu-language banger ‘Naatu’ from ‘RRR’ created history earlier this month, winning the Best Original Song at Oscars 2023. The song is picturised on the lead duo, Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the film.
