There might be intolerance in India but it has never stopped Bollywood actors and actresses from warming up to Pakistan. A couple of days ago, Tamasha actor Ranbir Kapoor had said that he wouldn’t mind working in Pakistani movies. Recently, even actress and Ranbir’s cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan had stated her desire to visit Pakistan in order to promote female education in Pakistan.
Add one more to the list. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, in response to a question on Twitter, said that he wanted to visit Pakistan. The actor, however also added that he wanted that to happen when relations between both country normalised.
Hum Sab aayenge. Promise. Basharte Ye halaat theek ho jayen dono mulkon ke. Hope in my living time at least https://t.co/skvXq5ldmm

Earlier, Rishi had also shared a memorable picture when him and his son Ranbir (just a young boy back then) had met with legendary Pakistani qawwal Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

And here’s another tweet which showed us Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan performing in India with his father, at Rishi’s wedding sangeet.

India has been in the news recently owing to the fact that intolerance is at an all time high in the country. Shiv Sena supporters and party workers have threatened Pakistani artists such as Atif Aslam, Ghulam Ali, Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan from performing in India. Most artists and writers have also returned their awards as a form of protest for the rising intolerance in the country.
Rishi Kapoor has many fans in Pakistan and people here would be ecstatic to see him soon. Let’s hope the actor really does decide to undertake a visit to Pakistan!
