Former cricketer Shahid Afridi has expressed concern over the worsening situation in Indian-Occupied Kashmir and the atrocities perpetuated by Indian security forces.
In a brief statement on the micro-blogging site Twitter, Afridi decried the “appalling and worrisome” situation in held-Kashmir.
He said that innocent Kashmiris are being shot by the oppressive Indian regime to clam down the the voice of self-determination.
He called on the United Nations and other international bodies to make efforts and stop the bloodshed.
The restive valley is facing severe protests and shutdown against the killing of seventeen youth leading sending shock waves and anger among the population.
Pakistan will observe Kashmir Solidarity Day on April 6 in support of the brave and resilient people of Occupied Kashmir who are continuously demonstrating against Indian atrocities in the valley.
