Abhishek Bachchan is known for being calm, cool and calculated most of the time. However, the Bachchan scion made an indirect statement recently which was perceived to be against Deepika Padukone.
It all began a few weeks ago when the dimpled actress threw a celebratory bash for the success of her film Piku and forgot to invite her co-star from the film, Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh must have felt snubbed, though he did not say anything about being ignored and instead stated that he would love to work with the actress again.
However, in a recent interview Abhishek Bachchan was asked by a reporter whether he would feel awkward if he bumped into Deepika Padukone, to which he curtly replied “If I bump into her at an event, I would like to believe that I am a well-mannered and well-brought up person and I won’t snub her or behave coldly. What has that got to with anything?”
Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan have both worked together in the smash-hit film Happy New Year, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan. Deepika Padukone was also asked the question regarding her feud with Amitabh Bachchan, which the actress laughed off.
Abhishek Bachchan’s comment towards Deepika might not seem alarming at the moment, but for those of us who can understand, it was indeed an indirect taunt at the actress. For now, the actress has denied any feud with the Bachchans but who knows? A few more provocative statements from either side might do the trick!
