When the creative duo of Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan had joined hands to bring us the stellar comedy 3 Idiots, we thought we hadn’t seen a better movie than that. The direction and humorous content was apt enough to match Hirani’s earlier success with the Sanjay Dutt flick Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. The film was the highest grossing film till a certain period of time and had a record number of ticket sales at the box office, numbering to an impressive 3 crores.
With Pk, Aamir Khan did what he had done numerous times before. The actor broke several records and registered Pk as the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time. It raked in a whopping 340 crores at the Indian box office and also secured the record for selling the most tickets: 3.5 crores of them!

Pk had the right mix of success ingredients that each flick should possess. The film’s powerful, subliminal message, the thought provoking scenes and satirical humor was enough to drive movie buffs crazy. Throw in some Aamir Khan magic and dialogues that stuck to everyone’s tongues and the Rajkumar-Aamir duo walked away with a monstrous hit at the box office.

Aamir will next be seen in a movie titled Dangal in which he plays an aged, retired wrestler. The actor, true to his perfectionist nature, has put on weight and donned a more older look to mesh in with him character on-screen. Aamir’s projects are unique and feature an out-of-the-box plot. Combined with an equally matched talented director such as Hirani, Aamir’s stellar acting and realistic portrayal propels a film to become a mega hit.
