No change has been made in the map of Pak-China EC: Ahsan Iqbal

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Ahsan Iqbal said Chinese President will visit Pakistan soon.

He clarified that Pak-China Economic Corridor (EC) is on the cards and no change has been made in the map of this corridor.

“All four provinces, Kashmir and underdeveloped areas of Gitlgit Balochistan are included in the route of Pak-China Economic Corridor”, he added.

The Minister said China will make an investment of about $45 billion for the development of this corridor.

“Investment of about $34 billion in the power sector and $11 billion in the projects of development will be made by China”, said Ahsan Iqbal.

According to the Minister, Ministry of Petroleum has managed to complete LNG terminal by the end of next month despite of many difficulties.

Ahsan Iqbal said that 10 power plants capable of generating 6000 mega watts will be established in Thar.
