Additional IG Karachi, Ghulam Qadir Thebo told that the team will be headed by SSP Investigation, Naveed Khwaja.
The police team will inform the UAE authorities about the details of cases against the accused and will formally seek his custody, following which he will be flown to Karachi.
Uzair Baloch, key culprit of the Lyari Gang War, was arrested in Dubai on December 29 last year.
Interpol rounded up Baloch as he landed at the Dubai airport from Muscat. The gangster was reportedly travelling on an Iranian passport at the time of his arrest.
