The WHO has decided to suspend its operations forthwith, close its offices and stopped its workers from routine activities until further orders.
Sources told that the decision by WHO chief in Pakistan owing to security reasons. The WHO workers are especially asked not to take part in anti-polio campaign until further orders.
It is learnt that the WHO had already apprised the government of its decision in this regard hours after the attack on Wednesday. The global body also sought complete security for its staff and offices in the country.
