Workers of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and the defiant Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) came face to face with each other in NA-122 Lahore, as the returning officer, Shahida Saeed had to verify votes on Friday, however the matter could not proceed due to unavailability of any record.

On this occasion, PMLN and PTI workers came face to face with each other and loudly chanted slogans ‘Go Nawaz Go’ and ‘Ro Imran Ro’.

The process of vote verification will recommence tomorrow.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had won polls in the constituency during General Elections 2013 by securing 93,389 votes on the ticket of PMLN, whereas the PTI chairman, Imran Khan stood second in the run as he bagged almost 84,000 votes.
