ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has summoned an important meeting of PDM leaders today (Friday), ARY News reported.
The meeting will be held in Islamabad which will be presided over by Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
According to sources, a detailed discussion on the SC verdict which released former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif and current political situation will be held during the meeting.
Following the court’s ruling, a meeting of the JUI was convened by Maulana Fazlur Rehman with the party’s senior leadership in attendance.
During the meeting, the party chief briefed the party members about his meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif earlier in the day.
Additionally, the party discussed and formulated a strategy for future protests, which will be implemented in the coming days.
Addressing the media after the meeting, the JUI-F chief criticized the SC for allegedly favouring Imran Khan. He accused the top judges of facilitating Imran Khan’s actions.
Earlier, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with chief of Pakistan Democratic Movement Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discussed in details the current political situation in the country.
During the meeting, PM Shehbaz and Maulana Fazlur Rehman also discussed future strategy in the wake of the recent decision of the Supreme Court in which the apex court gave relief PTI chief in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
