Police arrested a man for stealing mobile phones to become a rapper in India’s Uttarakhand state.

Indian news agency India Today reported that the suspect stole phones and cameras from a shop in the Chamoli district. He wanted to buy musical instruments and gadgets with the money.
The owner of the shop, located on Mandir Marg, Sanjay Singh filed a theft complaint at the Gopeshwar police station. He stated that thieves broke into his store and left with five mobile phones and a camera.
Police arrested a man, identified as 19-year-old Sumit Khatri, got arrested within 72 hours. They recovered five mobile phones and a DSLR camera worth INR0.35 million.

Interestingly. the aspiring musician confessed to his crime and regretted stealing the electronic items by singing.

It is not the first time that criminals have stolen phones via unique methods. Earlier, a man was robbed after he bought 300 smartphones from an Apple store in the United States.
A foreign news agency reported that the incident happened when the alleged victim bought the smartphones from a shop in the Manhattan borough of New York City on Monday at 1:45 am.
Just when he made his way with three bags toward his car, a vehicle pulled up beside him. Two men got out of it and demanded him to hand over the bag.
They punched him in the face and went off with one of the bags. He was deprived of 125 smartphones.
It is pertinent to mention that the alleged victim is known for buying iPhones from the shop in large quantities to sell them in his shop somewhere else.
