LAHORE: The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) has Monday released figures on its crackdown against charlatans according to which 34,345 shops dubbed as clinics have been sealed in over 28 cities across the province including 14 in Lahore alone, ARY News reported.
The PHC teams across Punjab have taken to task the quackery business and have raided 108,000 spots suspected to be the dens of these charlatans. In the past three weeks there have been 223 charlatan shops sealed, PHC said.
In Rahim Yar Khan district, at least four charlatans have been booked by police on PHC complaints, the officials confirmed.
PML-N to requisite Punjab Assembly session on price hike
Separately today from Punjab, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has decided to submit a requisition for Punjab Assembly session on the price hike, a source told ARY News.
The Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly, Hamza Shehbaz, has directed the party for calling the session of the provincial legislature, sources said.
The PML-N is expected to submit a requisition for the session in the Punjab Assembly secretariat.
The PML-N in its requisition for the Punjab assembly session will demand a debate in the house over the price hike and dearness in the province.
