KASHMORE: Police have foiled a major terrorism bid and arrested an alleged terrorist after a shootout in a Kashmore locality.
According to police, the terror suspect, identified as Master Khawand Buksh son of Salar Naseerani, was arrested after an encounter with the police personnel. His two accomplices managed to flee the scene.
The arrested terrorist, a resident of Dera Bugti, was associated with a proscribed organisation, a police official said, adding he was an expert of fitting improvised explosive device (IED).
He said arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the possession of the suspect, adding the police teams are carrying out search operation to arrest his accomplices.

The official said the held suspect was also involved in a remote-controlled blast near a Pakistan Army convoy within the jurisdiction of Gudu police station in 2009. Several servicemen were injured in the attack. He along with Brahumdagh Bugti and Sarbaz Bugti were nominated in the case.
