Former Bollywood actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Shatrughan Sinha may bid farewell to his party, as per Indian media reports.
Sinha is likely to join Congress and contest the upcoming Indian election from Patna Sahib – the seat he won on a BJP ticket in 2014.
According to reports in the India media quoting a senior Congress leader, it is almost final that Sinha will contest from Patna Sahib on a Congress ticket.
“His resignation from the BJP and induction into the Congress will take place in a few days,” said the senior Congress leader.
The BJP is assumed to field Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in Patna Sahib.
