QUETTA: Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal on Sunday visited Shafkalat, Pathan Kohar and other flood affected areas of Kech district in Balochistan.
Talking to the flood affectees on the occasion, she said 24 trucks and two C-130 planes loaded with relief goods provided by the Ministry of Defence Production had arrived in Kech.
Zubaida Jalal said the Provincial Disaster Management Authority under special instructions of Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal would provide relief package to 10,000 flood affected families.
She said every possible relief assistance would be provided to the flood affected families on war footings.
The minister said the affected people would also be provided relief assistance from Bait-ul-Mall.

On March 8, Zubaida Jalal had said that the government would not leave any stone unturned in providing relief to the flood affectees in Balochistan.
She had said in a statement that the people of Balochistan would never be left alone in this critical situation and added that the government was taking adequate measures to rescue and provide relief to the flood victims.
The minister had said that National Disaster Management Authority and personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) and security forces were providing relief to the flood affectees in the province.
