ISLAMABAD: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday telephoned Pakistan’s likely prime minister Imran Khan over his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) landslide victory in July 25 general elections, ARY News reported.

According to PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry, the Indian premier greeted the PTI chief Imran Khan over his party’s victory and expressed hope that his tenure will usher both the countries into an era of peace and prosperity.

“Both Imran Khan and  Modi agreed upon resolving all outstanding issues between the two countries through dialogue,” Fawad Chaudhry added.
