KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) will stage power show at Liaquatabad flyover this evening as the time for electioneering is about to culminate at 12:00 tonight, ARY News reported.
Arrangements for the public rally have been completed. Stage has been set and large number of chairs has been placed at the flyover.
Last night MQM-P leader Amir Khan visited the location and talking to the party officials, he said MQM-P was participating in the elections with both hands tied. He said massive number of people will express their support by attending the gathering.
Several other parties have also staged powerful shows at the flyover.
Earlier, while threatening to boycott the upcoming general elections, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Friday said they were not being given a level playing field for electioneering.
“The political party that has been holding 85 percent mandate for the last 35 years in Karachi should have been given priority,” he said.
Khalid had complained that the caretaker government was not allowing holding a rally in Mirpur Khas and different areas of the megapolis including at Liaquatabad flyover and Bagh-e-Jinnah.
