KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal Parachanda met Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi here on Tuesday.
The premier extended felicitations to him over the successful conclusion of the democratic process and success of his party.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction over friendly and cordial relations of the two countries and agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Earlier, Pakistan and Nepal agreed to enhance cooperation in political, economic, defence and cultural fields.
This understanding was reached during a meeting between Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and his Nepalese counterpart Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli in Kathmandu.
Nepal’s Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli hosted a banquet in honour of PM Abbasi.
In his remarks, Abbasi said sincere efforts are required by the member countries to explore true potential of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
He said Pakistan is committed to play a constructive role in SAARC.
He emphasized that SAARC believed in sovereignty of its member nations and is beneficial in making way forward for peace, stability and progress in the region.
