The COAS was briefed in detail about Pak-Afghan border issues and reconstruction works in the area.
He also offered Eid prayers with the troops – in replication of his gesture of visiting troops on border and volatile region every Eid.

Tribal people also met the army chief on the occasion. He also hailed the role and cooperation of tribal people in peace restoration process.
Gen Sharif hailed sacrifices of army and frontier constublary personnel in fight against terrorism.
He also directed speedy completion of rehabilitation process.
