Talking exclusively to ARY News, Mrs Farooque claimed that the MQM chief defended his anti-Pakistan stance citing the reason that his workers had been being killed for 40 years.
The former MQM leader, who left party over death to Pakistan slogan raised by Altaf Hussain on August 22, claimed that she again raised “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan, prompting MQM chief to say “Tumhe Pakistan Mubarak Ho” (Keep Pakistan to yourself).
“I said I am with Pakistan and Pakistan will survive,” said Irum, adding that she is “Pakistan’s daughter”.
So finally Altaf “Bhai”calls me.My line was very straight to the point
No compromise on Pakistan. And yes I m the daughter of the Soil— Irum Azeem Farooque (@Irumf) August 27, 2016
She also claimed that MQM chief urged her to rejoin party but she declined.
It is pertinent to mention here that MQM chief had rendered a formal apology after his August 22 speech in which he reportedly issued anti-Pakistan statements and urged his followers to raise “Pakistan Murdabad” (death to Pakistan) slogans.
The speech also incited MQM workers to attack media houses which resulted in attack on ARY News office.
