Taking notice of the arrest of Iqrarul Hassan for exposing poor security mechanism at the Sindh Assembly, the interior minister said that investigative journalists conduct sting operations worldwide, but no one treats them in such a manner.
He lauded Iqrarul Hassan for being a dynamic and talented journalist. The minister regretted mistreatment of him by the Sindh government, instead of appreciating his work.
Nisar said the federal and provincial governments should not be angry at such sting operations, rather they should learn from these programs.
He directed the interior secretary to talk to the IG Sindh and get the matter resolved in a positive way.
