Talking to media here, Shah said the prime minister instead of expressing reservations in public should have discussed the matter with the cabinet or in the assembly. He said that the NAB needs to change its procedures pertaining to the arrest of suspects.

A person should be held after thorough investigations, he urged.

In response to PM’s assertion of being weaker than 1991 and fears for snatching away of his public mandate, the opposition leader questioned: “After the container campaign, which issue bothered prime minister that he made such statement?”

Khursheed Shah while urging to ponder over this said in case of any threat to democracy we will stand by the PML-N.

He, however, criticized the prime minister for ‘by-passing the Parliament in making all decisions’.

The opposition leader noted that the federation did not heed on NAB’s actions in Sindh and rather defamed Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). Though, he maintained that anyone involved in corruption should be apprehended.
