ATC Shikarpur’s Judge Fida Hussain Shah awarded capital punishment and three Lac rupees fine to Arsalan Sangarani after charges proved against him.
Sangarani had thrown acid over a girl Maria Shah on July 15, 2009, when she was sitting in a clinic in Shikarpur.
The victim sustained serious acid burns in the attack. She was transferred to Karachi in precarious condition for medical treatment. She succumbed to acid wounds in Karachi hospital within a week.
