Lou Vincent banned for life over cheating

KARACHI: New Zealand cricketer Lou Vincent has been banned from playing cricket for life after he confessed that he fixed county matches by taking money, ARY News reports.

According to foreign media, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will formally announce the ban on the Kiwi cricketer.

“I am a cheat and I betrayed the sport. I performed bad by taking money and misused my position. I am ashamed and I accept the punishment”, said Vincent.

It should be noted that Vincent’s team mate and Pakistan born cricketer Naveed Arif has already been banned from playing the sport due to fixing allegations.
