TURBAT: At least 22 members of a family mostly females got serious burn injuries as a result of cylinder explosion in Turbat on Friday.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Frontier Corps Balochistan instantly reached the site, provided first aid to the victims and coordinated air evacuation of 12 serious victims to Karachi on Pakistan Navy aircraft.

Earlier this year, six people, including two women and as many children, were killed and several others injured in a cylinder blast at district hospital in Attock.
The blast took place in Gynaecology ward of the hospital, which damaged a portion of the building as well.
It is apropos to mention here that several serious incidents have been reported across the country due to cylinder blasts, which caused loss of several lives.
Such incidents raise questions over safety and precautionary measures being adopted in making of cylinders.
