Pop queen Nazia Hassan left this world 18 years ago breaking millions of fans’ hearts worldwide. 18 years later she still rules the pop industry with her melodious and catchy iconic hits.

Born on April 3, 1965, Nazia started her music career at the age of 10 and became one of the most prominent singers in Pakistan and India. She enjoyed widespread popularity across South and Southeast Asia and has been called the “Queen of Pop” in South Asia ever since.

She, along with her brother Zoheb Hassan, went on to sell over 65 million records worldwide. Her English language single Dreamer Deewane made her the first Pakistani singer to make it to the British charts.

The pop icon died on August 13, 2000, at the young age of 35, in London,  after a prolonged battle with lung cancer,
