18 militants die in North Waziristan air strikes

PAF jet fighters attacked the hideouts of terrorists in Dattakhel tehsil, leaving scores of hideouts and killing at least 18 suspected militants including foreign nationals.

A military offensive codenamed Operation Zarb-i-Azb has been launched in the tribal region bordering Afghanistan to clean the area from the militants. North Waziristan region deemed as the hotbed of the militancy in Pakistan.

Two key militant commanders were reported killed in the region yesterday.

According to security sources curfew has been imposed in Dattakhel area from yesterday for an indefinite period.

The number of militants died in airstrikes in two day, has reached to 33.
